FOUNDERS

Renato Brunetti, active in the ICT sector since 1975, began his career as an expert in software, hardware, research and development, and marketing at a pioneering company in the minicomputer field. In 1985, together with two partners, he founded Unidata, initially focused on microcomputing, networks, and system integration. Since 1994, he has stood out as one of the first to bring the Internet to Italy, transforming Unidata into one of the country’s first Internet Service Providers. Today, he serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Unidata S.p.A., Chairman of Unifiber S.p.A. (a joint venture with the European fund CEBF), and Chief Executive Officer of Unitirreno Submarine Network S.p.A. (a joint venture with the Azimut Libera Impresa fund).

He is also Chairman of the Namex Consortium and the Mondo Digitale Foundation, which is committed to promoting digital culture. Throughout his career, he has held prominent roles in industry associations and is currently a member of the General Council of Unindustria (2023–2025). From 2024 to 2026, he will serve as Vice President of the Communications Section of Unindustria and as a member of the General Council of Asstel for the same period.

Co-founder of Unidata, with forty-six years of solid experience in the ICT sector, with particular focus on digital hardware platforms and microprocessors. Since 2001, he has served as Head of Unidata’s Data Center, where he has actively contributed to the development and optimization of technological infrastructures.

Thanks to his expertise and leadership, he has successfully led numerous key projects, ensuring the efficiency and security of business operations. Top Management

A partner of Unidata since the early 2000s, he has actively contributed to the company’s growth and development. He joined the company in 1997 as Technical Manager of the Internet and Security division and has accumulated over twenty-five years of experience in the ICT sector. His expertise includes the design and development of backbone and access networks, telecommunications networks, and secure Internet network connections. He also served for one year as Head of the Italian Network at Cable & Wireless Italy.

Since 2001, he has held the position of Chief Technology Officer of Unidata, where he has successfully led the implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions, ensuring the efficiency and security of the company’s infrastructures. His leadership and extensive experience make him an invaluable asset to Unidata, contributing to its continued success in the ICT market. His strategic vision and capacity for innovation are fundamental to the company.

An engineer with extensive experience in Administration and Finance, Planning and Control across several companies in the ICT, civil engineering, infrastructure, and non-profit sectors, including Gruppo Finanziario Italiano SpA (GFI), where he served as CFO, as well as Fi.La.S. SpA, Italconsult Srl, Tecno Holding SpA, and Orizzonte SGR SpA. He has held the position of General Manager in numerous Italian and international companies, including Capital Società Finanziaria SpA and Fiordaliso Srl SB, and also served as Director of the National Secretariat of Agesci.

A manager with over 30 years of experience in the Telco-ICT sector, he has worked in Italy and abroad for companies such as TIM and Wind. In 2021, he was appointed Head of Digital, responsible for the development and digitalization of services for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Foundation. In 2023, he joined Unidata as Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for business development.

His career is marked by solid experience in managing complex projects and implementing innovative strategies, which have led to significant operational and performance improvements. His strategic vision and industry expertise make him a key figure in Unidata’s growth and innovation.

A Human Resources professional and manager with 27 years of experience, as well as a journalist and chartered accountant, he began his career within the Telecom Italia Group. In 2013, he joined the Manpower Group, where he advanced to the role of Chief Strategic Client Human Resources. In 2023, he joined Unidata as Chief Human Resources Officer.

His extensive experience includes managing complex projects and implementing innovative human resources strategies. His leadership has led to significant organizational and performance improvements. His strategic vision and multidisciplinary expertise make him a valuable asset to Unidata, contributing to the company’s success and growth in the ICT sector.
